About Porcelain Veneers
Cosmetic enhancement with porcelain veneers can bring back a lovely smile by correcting certain aesthetic concerns, such as stains, chips, cracks, tiny gaps, and more concerns. Slender, personalized shells that sit over the exterior enamel of the patient’s teeth, porcelain veneers produce an effortless, dazzling smile. Porcelain veneers are long-lasting, however still slender enough to be discreet, which helps the dental veneers to blend in with the natural teeth. What to Expect
To initiate the procedure of making the custom-fit porcelain veneers our dentists needs to find space for the porcelain veneer by taking away a paper-thin layer of enamel from every tooth that is going to be concealed to the porcelain veneer. When the teeth have been made ready, our dentists need to take a digital image of the teeth, which will be used to create the custom-fit porcelain veneers in a dental laboratory. An interim veneer will be used to cover the teeth until the permanent porcelain veneers are returned to Eastview Dental Care in Garland, TX. The custom-fit porcelain veneers will be attached to the front of the teeth using a special resin bonding agent. Our dentists may tweak the porcelain veneers if needed to give the patient a comfortable and snug fit.
An additional appointment is usually scheduled for approximately one week after the porcelain veneers are attached to make certain the bond is tight and the finish is still comfortable. Dental veneers are more resistant to staining than the natural teeth, but to preserve the porcelain veneers in their best condition, our dentists suggest staying away from staining food and beverages, such as tea, coffee, soda, and red wine. Patients are advised to start or continue to keep a good home dental care routine, including brushing the teeth using a non-abrasive toothpaste, daily flossing, and making appointments with our dentists for professional cleanings and dental exams at Eastview Dental Care. With appropriate care, porcelain veneers may stay on for up to two decades.
Dental veneers are considered a cosmetic procedure, and it is typically not covered under dental insurance. Though, Eastview Dental Care in Garland, TX takes numerous payment methods, along with our dentists and the staff at Eastview Dental Care can aid patients with financing arrangements to make porcelain veneers within each patient's means.
