What to Expect
For after-hours emergencies, the patient can contact Eastview Dental Care and talk to our answering service. Our dentists (or another authorized dentist, if our dentists are not able to be reached) is contacted and the patient’s information and message is shared with our dentists, who will phone the patient. Generally emergencies can be solved with a prescription sent to a pharmacy and the patient is booked to visit Eastview Dental Care as soon as possible. If the patient has a bigger issue of significant bleeding, severe pain, and/or signs of an infection swelling or fever), our dentists will usually direct the patient straight away to the nearest hospital if it is after the office is closed.
Our dentists will generally schedule another appointment to examine the patient’s progress or to conclude the needed services. Our dentists will explain to each patient their special care directions that should be followed entirely for faster relief. Patients should continue to schedule once a year dental exams and bi-annual dental cleanings at Eastview Dental Care so our dentists can identify and solve any future issues that may call for emergency care.
